Police update information on disturbance/wreck

WEATHERFORD —

On Wednesday at approximately 8:26 p.m., the Weatherford Police Department received a call advising of a disturbance in the southbound lanes of the 1500 block of Santa Fe Drive. While the disturbance was occurring, a vehicle traveling southbound on Santa Fe, not involved in the disturbance, struck two males in the roadway, in the area of the disturbance.  Both males were pronounced dead at the scene.



The Weatherford Police Department is  investigating the incident and gathering information from the driver of the vehicle, as well as multiple witnesses



The two males who died have been identified as Joseph William Bardwell, 35, of Weatherford and Michael Don Lloyd, 20, of Weatherford.
