PET OF THE WEEK: Don’t let Donner spend another holiday caged

Meet the very affectionate Donner, who loves to gives hugs and kisses.

For a 3 year old, he could use a little bit of obedience training but otherwise he is the perfect soul mate. He’s the perfect size, not too big and not too small.

Donner has already been neutered and is ready to go home today. Donner has been at the shelter since Halloween and is tired of seeing the holidays in his cage. Donner really wants to find his new permanent home soon.

If you are interested in Donner or any of his other friends, they can be visited at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter Tuesdays through Saturdays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., with extended hours on Wednesdays and Fridays until 6 p.m. Or visit the Animal Shelter’s website and see all of Donner friends at www.weatherfordtx.gov/animal.

For the month of January, WPCAS is running the New Year, New Friend’s special. That makes all dogs and cats only $40 through the end of the month. This covers their sterilization, vaccinations, microchip, and all the free love that they will bring to your family.

For those who can’t adopt but would still like to help, Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter always appreciates donations of cat litter, dog food, cat food, trash bags, cleaning supplies, and as well as monetary donations.
