MILLSAP —
A Millsap-area man in his 50s was transported to the hospital by CareFlite Friday night after his sister reportedly shot him in the chest.
Ramona Kathalene Fox, 54, of Millsap, has been arrested and charged with first degree felony aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence, in connection with the shooting, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responding to a report of a shooting in the 2100 block of Brazos Rock Road around 9:30 p.m. found a man laying on a couch in his travel trailer with a copious amount of blood on his person and the surrounding area, sheriff’s office spokeswoman Deputy Danie Huffman said.
An entrance wound was observed on the left side of the man’s chest.
Fox reportedly told deputies that her brother entered her trailer and began destroying her property.
After the man left, Fox said she went to her brother’s travel trailer, located on the same property, taking a pellet rifle with her, according the sheriff’s office. Inside her brother’s residence, she reportedly shot him in the chest with the gun.
There was no word on the man’s condition as of press time.
Bond for Fox was set at $75,000 and as of Monday evening, she remained in the Parker County Jail.
