Weatherford affected by debit card fraud

WEATHERFORD — Parker County residents are being urged to be vigilant about checking their bank statements as a debit card fraud investigation involving a large number of area residents continues.

Recent incidents over the past two weeks appear to have hit the Mineral Wells area much harder than the Weatherford area, but First National Bank of Weatherford reported about 15 of the bank’s clients have also reported similar incidents.

Bank president Lin Bearden said they believe there was a breach somewhere along the card processing network rather than at a particular point of sale.

A step forward. The military needs to be open to people of all backgrounds.
No opinion.
