POLICE BLOTTER: Truck repossessors shot at

Men who were repossessing a vehicle were reportedly shot at Friday night by a man with a pellet gun, according to the Parker County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to a shooting in the 200 block of Overlook Trail in northeast Parker County, according to Deputy Danie Huffman.

Three men had just repossessed a pickup when the incident occurred, according to Huffman. The suspect reportedly told deputies that he thought someone was stealing it and he didn’t know who they were.

No one was reported injured and a small indentation was observed on the rear frame of the cab, according to the sheriff’s office.

When Azle police caught up with the men, all three men advised that they wished to pursue charges, the sheriff’s office reported, and the case was expected to be assigned to the criminal investigation division.

Tire slashings

Five residents in the 900 block of Terry Trail reported vehicle tires slashed sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.

Weatherford police responded about 9 a.m. to the neighborhood, where six back tires cars, SUVs and a pickup had been sliced on, according to police reports.

A total of more than $1,000 in damage was reported.

School burglary

A school building at Travis Learning Center in the 600 block of West Water Street was reported burglarized Monday afternoon.

The complainant reported that the building had been broken into and graffiti was spraypainted on the interior walls, according to a Weatherford police report.

A broken window and other damage was reportedly estimated at $1,500.

Person with a weapon

A gun pointed at persons in a vehicle Tuesday afternoon turned out to be an airsoft gun, Weatherford police reported.

Officers were dispatched around noon to the 600 block of North Brazos Street to a report of a person with a weapon, according to Weatherford police.

The 48-year-old man and 40-year-old woman reported a man pointed a gun at their vehicle causing them to be in fear of imminent bodily injury, according to the police report. However, after further investigation, officers determined the gun was an airsoft gun and an offense report for terroristic threat was completed.
