WEATHERFORD —
On Thursday, Feb. 23, Weatherford Police Department responded to the 200 block of West Russell Street in regards to a complaint of indecent exposure. Officers met with a 15-year-old who advised that she and a friend had been walking on West Russell near South Waco, when they passed by a truck with a white man inside. He spoke to them and they observed him expose his genitalia. The 15-year-old girl said the incident occurred between 4 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. while they walked home from school. Officers searched the area and were not able to locate the vehicle.
Again on Thursday, two 14-year-old girls reported that between 3:55 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., a man drove up behind them at the 800 block of South Brazos Street and exposed himself to them. The description of the vehicle and the suspect was identical to the incident on Wednesday.
The vehicle involved is described as a maroon two-door Toyota pick-up (very clean) with stickers on the driver’s side rear window — possibly family type “stick-figure” stickers. The suspect is described as being a white male in his early 20s, having a “buzz” or “burr” type hair cut and wearing glasses. The female involved in the incident on Wednesday was able to give a clothing description of a sleeveless white T-shirt and basketball shorts.
The Weatherford Police Department is trying to locate the individual by increasing patrol in the area. However, the department is asking the community to report any suspicious activity in this area especially if they observe a vehicle and individual fitting the description given.
Call the Weatherford Police Department at 817-598-4300 or Parker County Crime Stoppers at 817-599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP. Up to a $1,000 reward will be paid for this information and callers may remain anonymous.

Sheriff, judge at odds over mailer
Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler sent out a statement and automatic phone calls across the county Wednesday saying he did not endorse incumbent 43rd District Judge candidate Trey Loftin, following a mailer sent by the judge’s campaign that included a quote from Fowler.
However, Loftin said Thursday Fowler made the referenced statement to a room full of people at a fundraiser for Loftin and agreed to let Loftin’s campaign quote the sheriff. - Film director looking for local actors
