Marrs mark 70 years of marriage

Melba and Gene Marr recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

They were married Jan. 6, 1943, in Breckenridge, Texas. Melba and Gene believe God brought them together and their love for each other has kept them together. Learning to forgive when angry and never going to bed angry contributed to their successful marriage.

To couples considering marriage, Melba and Gene suggest that their most valuable possession will be the solemn vows made before God during the ceremony.
