Woman reportedly slashed multiple times during fight in Western Lake Estates

By CHRISTIN COYNE

PARKER COUNTY – Parker County Sheriff’s Office officials say they expect to seek a charge of attempted murder in the early Wednesday morning stabbing of a 42-year-old woman at a home in Western Lake Estates.

Deputies believe the woman was stabbed several times with a knife by a suspect who fled the scene, the sheriff’s office reported.

Authorities responded after receiving a call around 1:30 a.m. from a residence in the 100 block of Horseshoe Drive with witnesses reporting a stabbing, according the sheriff’s office.

The woman was reportedly transported to a local hospital by personal vehicle and later transported by helicopter to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

Witnesses said the woman told the 27-year-old female suspect to leave the premises when an argument broke out.

They reported hearing the 42-year-old woman scream, seeing the suspect make “slashing motions” and watching the resident fall to the floor.

The woman was reported to be bleeding heavily from cuts to both forearms.

Investigators say an attempted murder warrant is pending for the suspect.

Details on the woman’s condition were not immediately available from the hospital.
