Peggy Lu Cope

WHITNEY – Peggy Lu Cope, 77, formerly of Weatherford, died Saturday, March 2, 2013.

Memorial service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, at Grace Community Church, 801 W. Bardin Road, Arlington.

Peggy was born in Dallas on April 21, 1935. She had several occupations, the most important being mother and homemaker. She was a retired insurance administrative assistant.

Survivors include daughters, Barbara Kowal and husband, Walter, and Susan Harbers and husband, Ray; son, Jerry Cope and wife, Brandi; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Cope.

If desired, memorial donations may be made in Peggy’s name to a charity dear to her heart, a rescue and no-kill animal shelter, Paw Pals, Box 1533, Hillsboro, TX 76645, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2630 West Freeway, Ste. 100, Fort Worth, TX 76102.
