A shoppers guide to Black Friday

WEATHERFORD — Editor's Note: Specials in this story are from advertisements within the Thursday edition of the Democrat.

Black Friday shopping will begin extra early this year as several stores open on Thanksgiving and numerous others will welcome shoppers well before sun-up Friday morning. The Democrat has deals broken down alphabetically and by times. While there wasn’t room for all the specials, here is the first glimpse of deals that will be offered in Weatherford.



Bealls

Opens at 6 a.m.

625 Palo Pinto St.

Earlybird specials at Bealls include a MP3 speaker/docking station for $24.99, a 7 inch digital photo frame for $29.99 and an entertainment projector for $49.99.

Another round of specials will begin at 1 p.m. Many items will also stay on sale after 1 p.m., but discounts will be reduced.

Additional coupons are available in the circular, located in today’s Democrat, for 20 percent off of any single item. The coupon is only valid for Friday, Nov. 25.



Bed Bath and Beyond

Opens at 5 a.m.

At Weatherford Ridge

Customers arriving between 5 a.m. and 10 a.m. Friday morning will receive a coupon to use in-store any time on Black Friday.

The insert in today’s paper offers an additional 20 percent of an entire purchase for Friday only.

The only other preview provided by the store was the sale of Dyson vaccuums, which will be reduced up to 25 percent for four days — Friday, Nov. 25 through Monday, Nov. 28.



Belk

Opens at 3 a.m.

At Weatherford Ridge

The first 250 customers to walk through Belk’s doors Friday will receive a free gift card valued anywhere from $5 to $1,000.

Earlybird specials include ND New Directions sweaters for $19.99 and a GPX 19 inch LCD television with DVD player for $129.99.

Belk’s circular has a coupon for an extra 20 percent off regular and sale purchases storewide and 15 percent off home and shoe departments. An additional coupon can be found on the back of the circular for $10 off a customer’s first purchase of $50 or more Friday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Online shoppers will receive free shipping with purchases of $50 or more at belk.com through Nov. 26.



Best Buy

Opens at Midnight

At Weatherford Marketplace

Midnight doorbuster deals include a 42 inch Sharp HDTV for $199.99, a Samsung laptop for $299.99, a Toshiba Smart Blu-Ray Disc Player for $39.99, a Free ThunderBolt 4G LTE Verizon Wireless phone with 2-year activation and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 Blu-ray for $9.99. The DVD will be priced at $6.99.

Quantities on all items are limited. Best Buy employees will begin handing out tickets up to two hours prior to the store opening. Tickets will be limited to one per customer and will grant the opportunity to purchase front cover and limited quantity items for a limited time. The store cannot guarantee all customers will receive a ticket.



Big Lots

Open Thanksgiving Day, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Opens at 7 a.m. Friday

On College Park Drive

Thanksgiving Day deals at Big Lots include recliners for $189.99, originally priced at $299.99, and an electric fireplace for $269.99, regularly priced at $599.99.

Friday deals include a Pandigital Android 9 inch tablet for $79, mini digital camcorders for $14.88 each and various DVD movies for $1.88 each.

Customers spending $50 or more will receive will receive $10 off their next purchase. The offer must be used by Dec. 10 and the original receipt for $50 purchase much be shown.



CVS Pharmacy

Open Thanksgiving Day from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Opens 8 a.m. Friday

At corner of South Main and

Lee Street

CVS will host a three-day sale, which will run from today through Saturday, Nov. 26. Deals include an iTower Stereo System for $68.88, a 7 inch portable LCD TV for $78.88 and a Sylvania Wireless Touch Screen Tablet for $94.88.

A free $10 gift card can be earned with specially marked items.



Famous Footwear

Opens at 9 a.m.

At Weatherford Ridge

Famous Footwear will have a storewide buy one, get one half off sale on Black Friday. Coupons are available in its insert for an additional 20 percent off an entire purchase.

Famous Bucks can also be earned for every $50 spent now through Dec. 26.



Home Depot

Opens at 5 a.m.

North of I-20, west of South Main

Shoppers looking for appliances this holiday season may want to hit Home Depot early Friday. Two special buys include a LG  front-load washer and dryer for $599 each and a Maytag stainless steel french door refigerator for $1,298.

Other special buys in the store include holiday decorations, from poinsettias, wreaths, Christmas trees, with lights, for $49 and ornament sets.







J.C. Penney

Opens at 4 a.m.

At Weatherford Ridge

Doorbuster prices at J.C. Penney will be available until 1 p.m. or while supplies last.

Major deals include women’s boots for $29.99, small appliances for $9.88 after $10 mail-in rebates, a four-piece luggage set for $39.88 and diamond jewelry starting at $99.99 each.

Additional coupons are available on the back of the J.C. Penney’s circular located in today’s Democrat.

Customers will also receive a free Disney snow globe while supplies last — there is no purchase necessary to receive the gift.



Kohl’s

Opens at Midnight

At Weatherford Marketplace

Kohl’s will open its doors for a solid 24 hours at midnight. The store boasts of more than 500 earlybird specials from Thursday at midnight to Friday at 1 p.m.

Among the specials are a $99.99 Polaroid 7 inch touch screen Android tablet after a $20 mail-in rebate, a Vivitar high-definition digital video recorder for $59.99 and 55 to 60 percent off of select jewelry.

Shoppers can earn $15 Kohl’s Cash for every $50 spent through Sunday, Nov. 27. Coupon must be redeemed between Nov. 28 and Dec. 5. There is no limit on the amount of Kohl’s Cash that can be earned.



Lowe’s

Opens at 5 a.m.

At Weatherford Marketplace

In-store deals include a Porter-Cable three-piece drill/driver, impact driver and flashlight kit or Skil 10 inch 15-amp Table Saw or Skil 10 inch compound miter for $69 each. A Whirlpool 3.4 cubit foot high-efficiency washer and a 7.0 cubic foot electric dryer will be on sale for $698 for the pair.

Christmas decorations can also be purchased at Lowe’s for half the price. A 6 1/2 foot spruce pre-lit Christmas tree with 400 lights will be on sale for $48. The original price was $98. Other holiday decorations, including mini Christmas lights and plastic storage crates will also be on sale.

Free shipping will also be provided on all lowes.com parcel order placed from Nov. 24 through Nov. 28.



Michael’s

Open Thanksgiving Day, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Opens Friday at 6 a.m.

Michael’s will provide a preview sale today beginning at 4 p.m. The entire stock of Christmas trees will be 50 percent off. A coupon for 30 percent off an entire purchase is on the front page of the circular in today’s paper.

Three-day sales specials include scrapbook storage, holiday ribbon and various holiday decorations — all items are marked down at least 50 percent from its original price.

Four additional coupons are also available for Friday, Nov. 25 and Saturday, Nov. 26.

Custom framing is 60 percent off and a coupon is available for an extra 15 percent off. The offer is valid through Nov. 26.



Office Max

Opens at 6 a.m.

North of I-20, west of Main Street

Electronic specials are the key to savings at Office Max this Black Friday.

A Toshiba Satellite Laptop, regularly priced at $429.99, will be on sale for $299.99 while an HP Laptop featuring Intel will be on sale for $389.99. It is regularly priced at $599.99.

The Barnes and Noble Nook, a simple touch reader with wi-fi capabilities, will also be on sale for $99 as well as a Nikon Coolpix camera for $119.99 and a HP Color Inkjet Photosmart Plus Wireless e-All-in-One printer for $59.99.

All items will be on sale while supplies last.

Additional savings can be earned by clipping coupons in the OfficeMax circular in today’s paper.

Shoppers can begin purchasing specials online at 7 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.



PetSmart

Opens at 7 a.m.

At Weatherford Marketplace

The local pet store is boasting 50 percent sale items for anything and everything for man’s best friend and other furry creatures.

Pet lovers will be awarded an opportunity to purchase various Christmas presents, including stockings, toys, apparel and treats for animals of all breeds and sizes.

All items will only be on sale Friday.

Rack Room Shoes

Opens at 6 a.m.

At Weatherford Marketplace

Free gifts to the first 50 customers. Prizes include free shoes for a year, a 2-minute shopping spree or promotional gift cards.

Various shoes throughout the store are marked 50 to 60 percent off. There is also a 20 percent off coupon on the back of the insert. The coupon is good for today only.



Ulta

Opens at 6 a.m.

At Weatherford Ridge

Ulta will open its doors early for a two-day sale, which includes Conair curling irons, flat irons and dryers for $9.99 each and Ultra Chi flat iron or dryer for $74.96 each with a 25 percent off coupon. The coupon is available in the circular in today’s Democrat.

Various other specials, ranging from cosmetics to hair products are also on sale at Ulta Thursday and Friday.

An addtional coupon for $3.50 off a purchase of $10 or more is also on the front of the circular.



Walmart

Open Thanksgiving Day

Sales at Walmart will begin at 10 p.m. tonight and run through Friday, or while supplies last. Specials starting at 10 p.m. include a Xbox 360 4GB console with Kinect for $199.96, a Wii limited edition blue console for $99.96 and a PlayStation 3 160GB Console with Bonus for $199.96. Other specials include various DVDs ranging from $1.96 to $28.

Electronics will go on sale at 12 a.m. LCD televisions, by various manufacturers, will begin at $98 for a 19 inch and $498 for a 51 inch television. Other electronic sale items include HP AMD Dual-Core Laptops, an Amazon Kindle Fire, LG Blu-ray player for $49 and digital cameras, which will begin at $48.

The last sale will begin at 8 a.m. Friday and continue while supplies last. Items include hunting rifles, tires and electronic devices.
