McBride, Salmons exchange vows

Once upon a time, a young princess and prince fell in love. Kaci Lynndon McBride and Gabriel Mark Salmons were joined in marriage at a Cinderella Wedding on Saturday, October 4, 2008.

The couple exchanged vows at sunset on the ranch of Peggy Grimes, grandmother of the bride, among glittering white pumpkins and light covered trees.

When escorted to the ceremony by her father in a horse drawn carriage, the bride wore a white gown with a satin cuffed bodice and full tulle skirt embellished with sparkling beads and a chapel train. She accessorized her gown with crystal adorned running shoes. Her crystal trimmed

veil was accented by an Italian tiara, and she carried a bouquet of white roses and lilies.

Attending her sister as Matron of Honor was Holli Pontremoli. Bridesmaids were Cassidy Blue, Casey Dougherty, Brandi Roten, sister of the groom, Kristi Keese, Denise Jones, Dana Jones and Dayla Jones, all cousins of the bride. They wore turquoise and black strapless dresses and carried bouquets of pink roses and lilies.

Jasper and Jaycee McCloud served as the ring bearer and flower girl. Jaycee wore a handmade white satin gown with matching gauntlets, and almost dropped pink rose petals.

Mica Roten, sister of the groom, wearing a black and turquoise dress, sat at the book, passed out rice bags, and guarded the white dove.

Serving as best man was Brannon Gainous, best friend of the groom. Groomsmen were Brandon Gilbert, Ryan Allred, Sean Harvey, Nathan McCarty, Jeff Neal, Danny Bloodworth and Anthony Pontremoli.

As the couple was pronounced man and wife by the Reverend Steve Edge, family and friends were treated to a fireworks display.

A reception and dance were held immediately following the ceremony where guests were greeted by mouse cookies, a castle bridal cake and personal cakes topped with glass slippers.

Parents of the bride are Buddy and Vicki McBride of Weatherford, and her grandmothers are Mary McBride and Peggy Grimes.

Parents of the groom are Curtis and Shannon Roten of Fort Worth. Grandparents of the groom are Linda Holcomb, Frankie Head and Darrell Roten.

After a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic, the couple settled into their own castle in Weatherford.

... And they lived happily ever after!
