Hot doggin' it

WEATHERFORD —

Cameron Baker and his dog, Geronimo, check out the fun at the second annual Hot Dog Trot at Hall Middle School Saturday morning. Early morning jogs went to the dogs as an overwhelming number of dogs, about 80, were registered for the second annual Hot Dog Trot, with 1K and 5K runs. “Thanks to everyone for coming out today, we have over 250 runners,” Barbara Pursley, Parker Paws president, said. The event benefitted the Parker Paws non-profit, all volunteer organization. Parker Paws offers support to the Weatherford Animal Shelter. To find out how to adopt a pet or how you can help by volunteering, visit www.parkerpaws.org for more information. See complete race results on Sports, Page 1B.

The Air Force Academy recently graduated their first openly gay cadets. What does this signify?

Nothing. There have always been gay cadets, they just haven't been open.
A step backward. Sexual orientation issues shouldn't be a part of the military.
A step forward. The military needs to be open to people of all backgrounds.
No opinion.
